A year later, IHIT still need public’s help to track Joseph De Carvalho’s murderer

RICHMOND (NEWS 1130) — It has been a year since Joseph De Carvalho was shot down by an unknown gunman on Bridge Street between Keefer Avenue and Breden Avenue in Richmond.

Today, De Carvalho’s family released a plea for people to come forth with any information they may have of the incident on Sept. 18 last year.

“We are asking for any help to find the people that murdered Joe. If you have information in connection to Joe’s murder, maybe you have heard something on social media, or from a friend or someone you talk to. Everything is important and no piece of information is too small. Please call IHIT and provide the information or Crime Stoppers if you wish to remain anonymous,” their statement reads.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is still searching for the shooter and want the public’s help. They believe the attacker was wearing dark clothing, a hooded jacket and was carrying a backpack at the time.
